I recommend Regis. Fun guy and loved his "deckhand" who is also his uncle. Equipment is good, everything runs as promised. Regis is flexible and will try different things. The bite was quirky and we had to switch around a bit. Topwater was just not happening so we had a ball catching about 15 different kinds of bottom fish. You can feel good and you can feel safe about taking your kids of his point. You don't have to worry about any funny business or hidden costs. Ask the price, the time of
pick-up and drop-off and that is what is going to happen. Great fun and sense of humor. His english is excellent and yes...he even speaks Spanish.

This was the first time I've ever gone on an organized fishing excursion, and it was an incredible experience. We caught five dorado (mahi-mahi), Spanish mackerel, orange snapper, and I even caught (and released) a rooster fish. We caught more fish but I can't remember what they were called -- they were just delicious when we cooked them
later! Even if we hadn't had such a great catch, the trip would have been worth it -- incredible scenery, a comfortable boat, and a great crew. We saw turtles, dolphins, and lots of bird life as well. It was a day, and vacation funds, very well spent. Thanks, Regis!

I've been out with Regis once during my trip to Sayulita last year in April and I had an excellent first experience when we caught 6 dorado, still early in the season. This year, I came back to Sayulita and went out with Regis and his uncle for 3 trips and each was as memorable as the last. He brings you to the fish and let you catch them yourself. Me and my brother had excellent time catching skipjack

Just great Dorado fishing in Early January. Big fish from 30-40 lb. and the morning "bite" was really good. Capt. Regis is a super fisherman and great captain. Top grade tackle and lures. The new 25 foot Panga, THUNNUS, has walk-through center seats with two swivel seats and a flat floor for clients. Very comfortable, and fast, with the quiet new 100 Yamaha 4 stroke engine. The boat is completely cleaned after every trip. I highly recommend some trips with Capt. Regis and the THUNNUS. You'll have a great time and he will expertly fillet your take-home catch.

Regis and his crew are excellent to say the least. They are on time and ready with drinks on board. He has the newest and cleanest boat in the fleet and you can tell he takes good care of his equipment with a brand new Yamaha four stroke! He takes the time to catch fresh bait in the morning which is excellent for increasing your productivity throughout the day. He fishes everyday and knows the ins and outs of the coastline. Truly a passionate guide who wants to get you on the fish and pays close attention to his surroundings. If you aren't only into fishing Regis can take you to some awesome surfing spots and spectacular whale watching too. On our trip we got into Dorado, spanish mackerel, and skipjack tuna. We had opportunities for rooster fish too. To say the least book early with this guy he is an excellent guide who works hard for his guests and you don't want to miss out on this fishing trip.

My husband and I have gone fishing with Regis about 6 times since 2008. He is a local and knows every fishing spot, every surfing spot, every person out on the water, and everything there is to know about fishing in Sayulita. He has customized our trips to allow me to surf on breaks that are more easily accessible by boat, and we even saw whales on our last trip in February. His boat is large, shaded, and comfortable, and the beer is ice cold! The best way to see the coast is by boat, so I highly recommend contacting Regis and getting out on the water for a day.

We were so impressed we left our fishing gear with him every day and each morning it was ready for us having been cleaned from the previous days hard fishing. is an excellent guide who will allow you to use your own equipment, but he does not fish for you. He will assist you to hone your skills and will offer advice where necessary. He is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for - great value and quality with no skimping on distance traveled, fishing locations and fuel used. He uses live bait, dead bait and lures so you get the best of all fishing techniques. I saw many just using lures who were not as successful-That says it all! I am already saving for my next trip and I suggest that you view his website, contact him to answer any of your questions he replies quickly. We went fishing with Regis and his Tio Pepe, and I can say they are the most fantastic guys. We didn't catch any fish that day - the ocean turned into a washing machine and nothing was biting - but I can tell you that Regis and his uncle did absolutely everything humanly possible to put us on to fish that day. And, they are wonderful guys to be around, really fun and great with clients. I would very gladly go back out with them again and can't recommend them highly enough. Regis is a great guy, knowledgeable, flexible and fun to be around. He took me and a few friends to the best surfing spots that you cannot get to by land where we caught some amazing waves. He is also a former national Mexican world champion surfer so was the best guide one could ask for.
